What is an RSS feed?
RSS stands for “Really Simple Syndication” and is an easy way for you to automatically keep updated about Southwest Airlines jobs you might like. We’ll let you know when the latest job postings are available to job bid. We can deliver all of this information and more in an RSS feed via an RSS reader. To use RSS, you need free news reader software available by clicking the link on our Career web site.

Yes. All information about your job search will be communicated by email. Free email accounts can be created through Hotmail, Yahoo! and GMAIL.

I keep getting an error telling me the site is experiencing technical difficulties when I try to upload my resume. Why?
The system only supports TXT documents. If you get an error about the document's format, resave your resume in text format ".txt", or try using the cut and paste option.

Nothing is wrong! Unfortunately, there are currently no open job postings. (Note: If you receive an error message that asks you to try your search later, the system is experiencing a temporary technical issue. Please try your search again later !)

I submitted a job bid for a posted position, but when I view my submitted applications, the job is listed as closed. What does this mean?
Closed means we are no longer accepting new applications for a position; however, you can rest assured that we've received your job bid and our Recruiters are reviewing your information.

What is the minimum age requirement to work at Southwest Airlines?
You must be at least 20 years old to be eligible for a Flight Attendant position and 23 years old to be a Pilot. The age requirement for all other positions is 18.

You will receive both a confirmation message and an e-mail following your submission. A list of your submitted applications can also be found by clicking on the Applications link from your account homepage.

How do I check the status of a submitted application?
We understand that you may wish to check on the status of your submitted online application; however, please be assured that all applications submitted online are carefully reviewed by our Recruiting Team. Due to the high number of applications we receive, only the most competitive Applicants will be contacted for an interview. If you are not a competitive Applicant, you may not receive a phone call. If you are not selected for the posting for which you applied, we encourage you to keep checking southwest.com for other postings of interest.

Can I apply for the same job posting more than once?
No. Once Southwest Airlines has received your resume for a particular position, the application process has started. There is no need to apply for the same posting more than one time, and, in fact, duplicate resumes will not be considered. For this reason, it is important that you express interest only once.
